烏鬼井

今年二月，我到臺南旅遊時，在一個安靜的住宅區發現了一處古蹟——烏鬼井，只有一口水井。據說它是十七世紀中期開鑿的，當時供往返的船隻和當地居民使用。雖然大多數遊客可能對這座古蹟不感興趣，但我卻相當好奇，因為在網路上查到這裡的居民曾是印尼的班達島人。

In February I traveled to Tainan and, by chance, discovered a historic site in a quiet residential neighborhood—a well called Wuguijing (烏鬼井). According to local lore, the well was excavated in the mid‑17th century and was used by passing ships and nearby residents. While most tourists might overlook it, I became intrigued after reading online that the area’s former inhabitants were Banda Islanders from Indonesia.
